Who We Are
The Cambrian Educational Foundation is a local non-profit educational foundation and the sole designated support organization charged with leading philanthropic efforts for all Cambrian School District schools.
Our History
The Cambrian Educational Foundation (CEF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization formed in 1996 by the Cambrian School District Board of Trustees, in collaboration with the Home & School Clubs of the Cambrian School District schools, to consolidate the Home & School Clubs into one legal entity and allowing them to leverage employer matching funds as an additional source of revenue. The CEF has been growing to assist in bridging the funding gap created when shortfalls in the local, state, and federal funding threaten to reduce programming district-wide. The CEF supports the after-school music programs, social emotional curriculum, and mental health resources for the district.
What We Do
The Cambrian Educational Foundation collaborates with the school district and the community to assist in providing students the best education possible. CEF is the school district’s primary partner in providing support and enrichment opportunities that help students at every school receive an impactful and achievement-filled education from the Cambrian School District. We grant funds to each school throughout the district, as well as educators and community partners.
Why We Do It
The Cambrian Educational Foundation exists to help Cambrian schools excel because we believe that improving our schools, by working to close the gap left in state funding, improves our community. Because education is so much more than what takes place in the classroom, we offer enrichment programs and hold community conversations about issues that affect education. With the help of volunteers, community members, and business partners, our work benefits every child at every school in the district as well as impacts the greater community of Cambrian.
How We Do It
In addition to our many revenue-generating programs and events, the CEF relies on support from the local community as well as corporate donations to fund our successful annual gifting program.
