Our Impact

CEF Funded Programs

  • "We are incredibly grateful to the Cambrian Educational Foundation for the vital support they provide our students and teachers. The funding from CEF helps bring programs and enrichment opportunities that we could never provide on our own. We also appreciate that parents from our school have a voice on the CEF board, helping guide decisions that directly benefit our community. CEF is not just a supporter of our schools—it is a true representative of Cambrian schools in the greater community, building partnerships and awareness that strengthen all of our students’ opportunities."

Home & School Club Support

The CEF coordinates the Home & School Clubs at the district-level in addition to collecting, processing, and distributing Corporate Matching Donations received, which was over $210,000 in the 2023-24 school year.

As Home and School Club President, I’m grateful for the Cambrian Educational Foundation’s support of our students, our schools, and parent volunteers. Their programs, corporate matching, and partnership with the School District give parents the tools and resources to make a real difference—whether it’s improving classrooms, supporting enrichment programs, or creating new opportunities for our kids.

Kristin Weitz, Home & School Club President (2022-2025), Fammatre Elementary

Thanks to the Cambrian Educational Foundation, parent volunteers like me have the support and resources to make a difference in our schools. Through collaboration with the School District and programs like corporate matching and community initiatives, CEF helps us enrich learning and build stronger school communities for every student.

Social Emotional Learning, Mental Health & Wellness

The CEF raises funds to help provide curriculum and training for Social Emotional Learning programs along with Mental Health & Wellness support services.

  • “The Cambrian Education Foundation has been a vital partner in supporting the mental health and well-being of our community. Through multiple years of funding, CEF has made it possible for Cambrian educators to receive professional development that strengthens their social-emotional learning for both students and staff. Their ongoing commitment is an essential part of building a thriving and supportive environment for all.”

Family Enrichment Programs

The CEF funds district-wide programs for students, families, and the community, such as the Family Night of Code and The Cambrian Code-Off.

  • “CEF has always sponsored a school event called Family Code Night that we have hosted over the years at our school sites. Three years ago a group of high school students approached us about hosting a district-wide coding contest that has evolved into an annual event called The Great Cambrian Code-Off. CEF’s sponsorship has allowed us to grow the event over the last three years with last year’s contest resulting in record turnout! Their support has allowed Cambrian students to explore and shine in their own unique way.”

    Director of Educational Technology
    Cambrian School District

  • "Family Night of Code was fantastic! My children learned to code, built a project from start to finish, and we even got helpful resources to continue coding at home. It was inspiring to see what our students can create."

    Karen Luk
Parent, Ida Price Middle School & Fammatre Elementary

  • "At The Great Cambrian Code-Off, my kids loved that their work was recognized and celebrated, even if they weren’t a top winner. These events encourage all students to try, learn, and feel proud of what they accomplish."

Art and Music Enrichment Program Support

The CEF raises funds to help provide art and music programs in-school and after-school, including Elementary Beginning Band, Cadet Band, Choir, and Price Middle School Music Programs.

Cecile Toulme, Parent at Ida Price Middle School & Sartorette Elementary

CEF’s support is truly vital for our band and choir programs. They help us fund sheet music, instrument repairs, uniforms, staff stipends, and trips for competitions. Our students are so lucky to have these opportunities to learn and perform."

Read-a-thon & Literacy Enrichment

Our annual Read-a-thon promotes literacy and gets students excited about reading with a fun competition. In 2025, Cambrian students read 2,399,249 minutes during the month of February.

  • "The Read-a-thon got my child reading more than ever—and with excitement! They loved setting personal reading goals and helping their classroom and school reach theirs. Knowing that the funds raised support social-emotional learning and wellness resources for their school makes it even more meaningful."

    Amber Sidensol
    Parent Fammatre Elementary

  • “My students look forward to the Read-A-Thon every year. It sparks their excitement for books and makes reading feel like a celebration!”

    Ms. Krista Davis
3rd Grade Teacher, Steindorf STEAM School

  • "My kids were so motivated by the Read-a-thon. They weren’t just reading because they had to—they were eager to meet their goals and help their classmates and school succeed. It’s wonderful that the money raised goes back into programs that support their mental health and social-emotional growth."

Safe Routes To School Committee & Crosswalk Safety Flag Program

In 2024, the Cambrian Educational Foundation, in collaboration with the School District, launched the Crosswalk Safety Flag program, now active at eight busy intersections. CEF sits on The Cambrian Safe Routes To School Committee, representing parents and working with the Cambrian School District, city representatives, and parent volunteers to improve safety through education and targeted traffic enhancements.

Meredith Nutter, Parent and Walk N Roll Coordinator for Fammatre Elementary

I’m grateful for the Cambrian Educational Foundation and the School District for keeping our kids safe on their way to school. Programs like the Crosswalk Safety Flags, supported by parents and local businesses, make a real difference at busy intersections.”

Lindsey Kiner, Parent and Walk N Roll Coordinator for Bagby Elementary

“We are grateful to the Cambrian Educational Foundation for their support of our district-wide Cambrian Safe Routes to School efforts. With their partnership, we launched the Crosswalk Safety Flags Program, supported by parents and local businesses. The flags improve pedestrian visibility at busy intersections and, as a bonus, students enjoy using them—helping to reinforce safe walking habits.”
