CEF Funded Programs
Home & School Club Support
The CEF coordinates the Home & School Clubs at the district-level in addition to collecting, processing, and distributing Corporate Matching Donations received, which was over $210,000 in the 2023-24 school year.
Desiree Brown, Home & School Club President (2025-26), Ida Price Middle School
“As Home and School Club President, I’m grateful for the Cambrian Educational Foundation’s support of our students, our schools, and parent volunteers. Their programs, corporate matching, and partnership with the School District give parents the tools and resources to make a real difference—whether it’s improving classrooms, supporting enrichment programs, or creating new opportunities for our kids.”
Kristin Weitz, Home & School Club President (2022-2025), Fammatre Elementary
“Thanks to the Cambrian Educational Foundation, parent volunteers like me have the support and resources to make a difference in our schools. Through collaboration with the School District and programs like corporate matching and community initiatives, CEF helps us enrich learning and build stronger school communities for every student.”
Social Emotional Learning, Mental Health & Wellness
The CEF raises funds to help provide curriculum and training for Social Emotional Learning programs along with Mental Health & Wellness support services.
Family Enrichment Programs
The CEF funds district-wide programs for students, families, and the community, such as the Family Night of Code and The Cambrian Code-Off.
-
“CEF has always sponsored a school event called Family Code Night that we have hosted over the years at our school sites. Three years ago a group of high school students approached us about hosting a district-wide coding contest that has evolved into an annual event called The Great Cambrian Code-Off. CEF’s sponsorship has allowed us to grow the event over the last three years with last year’s contest resulting in record turnout! Their support has allowed Cambrian students to explore and shine in their own unique way.”
Matt Hill
Director of Educational Technology
Cambrian School District -
"Family Night of Code was fantastic! My children learned to code, built a project from start to finish, and we even got helpful resources to continue coding at home. It was inspiring to see what our students can create."
Karen Luk

"At The Great Cambrian Code-Off, my kids loved that their work was recognized and celebrated, even if they weren’t a top winner. These events encourage all students to try, learn, and feel proud of what they accomplish."

“CEF’s support is truly vital for our band and choir programs. They help us fund sheet music, instrument repairs, uniforms, staff stipends, and trips for competitions. Our students are so lucky to have these opportunities to learn and perform."
Read-a-thon & Literacy Enrichment
Our annual Read-a-thon promotes literacy and gets students excited about reading with a fun competition. In 2025, Cambrian students read 2,399,249 minutes during the month of February.
-
"The Read-a-thon got my child reading more than ever—and with excitement! They loved setting personal reading goals and helping their classroom and school reach theirs. Knowing that the funds raised support social-emotional learning and wellness resources for their school makes it even more meaningful."
